Dr. Lindsay Durand Massumi

Dr. Lindsay Durand Massumi, PT, DPT is a pelvic health and orthopedic physical therapist practicing in Northern Virginia. Dr. Lindsay first discovered pelvic health physical therapy when she was in undergrad and completed her first independent research study on joint mechanics walking in high heel shoes. Since undergrad, Lindsay has been involved in conducting and promoting physical therapy research to advance outcomes for patients suffering from low back pain and pelvic floor dysfunction.

Before becoming a physical therapist, Lindsay worked as a personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach for high school athletes, which helped her discover her passion for strength training and fitness. Lindsay is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Academy of Pelvic Health where she has served in multiple leadership roles and volunteer positions.

She currently runs a private practice and remote coaching business with her husband, Cameron, working primarily with people suffering from pelvic floor dysfunction and/or chronic pain. Lindsay loves using social media to spread the word about pelvic health physical therapy and help people realize the benefits that exist from connecting with your pelvic floor. In her free time, Lindsay enjoys hiking, working out, and spending time with her husband, family, and cats.
